USDA National Agricultural Library
The USDA is a great reference site, full of helpful information and advice on urban agriculture. This site lists articles on how the UDSA supports community and agriculture, as well as other sources of knowledge, like the irrefutable City Farmer in Canada. Check out FAO’s Urban/Peri-urban Agriculture site and learn about available resources to all types of small farmers interested in cultivating urban and peri-urban lands. “FAO’s multisectoral programme on “Food for the Cities”, AGPC helps identify opportunities for the intensification of urban and peri-urban production systems. It is also assisting in development of innovative technologies - e.g. micro-gardens - matching specific environmental conditions, and of guidelines and training materials for Integrated Production and Protection Management.”
All-in-all, it’s a good go-to guide for those searching for reputable information about urban agriculture in America.
